About Us
The Smile Foundation was established in 2009 with the help of KCFM and six founding partners to help positively change the lives of people in Hull and East Yorkshire. After a productive and successful period working with Downright Special and House of Light, we are delighted to be supporting some of the regions great projects.
in 2011/12 These are The Hull Memory Clinic, supporting people who suffer from memory loss from initial diagnosis onwards, Hornsea Inshore Rescue, an independently voluntary run inshore rescue which cover the majority of the Holderness coastline, and finally Sunshine House, who provide an invaluable nursing resource which ranges from respite care through to end of life care for children with life limiting illnesses.
What we don’t want to do is just hand over a cheque and then walk away after a year, so we will enjoy spending the time and working with each organisation to give them a voice, and help build a foundation that will fully establish themselves as familiar local charities within the county.
We will be working with each organisation to help make them stronger and give them the tools to be an even greater support to the communities in Hull & East Yorkshire.
Some of the ways in which we can help:
- Production of an annual report
- Opportunity to promote their existing work and highlight what they are looking to achieve in the future
- Media training
- Production of a DVD
- Development of their business & marketing plans
- Production of on air promotion
- Development of innovative fundraising campaigns
And of course… generate much needed funds to advance their services.
The Smile Foundation Promise Funds raised will be distributed exclusively to organisations within Hull & East Yorkshire
- All our fundraising activities will follow guidelines laid out by the Institute of Fundraising codes of conduct
- We will be a committed member of the Fundraising standards board, giving all our donors, confidence in giving
- We will be innovative forward thinking and importantly focus on making a positive difference in Hull & East Yorkshire
